BASLILICATA - PULIA - MOLISE - ABRUZZE best pictures of Italy's greatest Landscape
BASILICATA, the most unknown part of Italy to me is the most particular landscape of Italy. Basilikata has two faces, the yellow of the corn fields, brighter than the sky and the unbelievabel woods of oak trees up to 1200 meters. Starting from MELFI and VENOSA we went through the yellow hills to POTENZA, where we stood overnight in an surprising familiar HOTEL LA PRIMULA. Next day we sloped up and down through the mountains called the DOLOMITI LUKANI, with only a very few but dramatically situated villages. At noon we arrived in MATERA, where we had lunch at LA TERRAZZA, perfectly situated in midst of the famous SASSI. After lunch we had time to walk through the shadowless old city. I could have taken zillions of pictures there. We continued our trip to Brindisi along the cornfields of Baslikata and Pulia. The landscape remembered me at the pictures of van Gogh.
